Tuition Reimbursement

Teachers

If you are filing for tuition reimbursement, remember that this request pertains to graduate course work for the period covering July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2026. In accordance with the AEA Agreement, as of 9/1/2023, teachers may receive up to $2,500 reimbursement for graduate credits per contract year per employee.

All coursework must be approved in writing by the Assistant Superintendent prior to taking the course and a grade of "B" or better must be obtained to be entitled to reimbursement. 

Deadline for submission of grades is April 1st of the fiscal year, or notification to the Business Office by email that the employee will be submitting a grade on or before June 15th. All extensions to June 15th must be approved by the Business Office.

School Administrators

  

Administrators planning graduate study during the 2023-2024 school year should notify the Superintendent in writing of their intention and a completed form should be returned to the Human Resources Department by May 15, 2023. For your convenience, we have attached the appropriate paperwork.

Instructional Assistants

In accordance with the AAO Collective Bargaining Agreement, Instructional Assistants may receive up to a maximum amount of $300.00 reimbursement for 1 course per school year.

All coursework must be job-related and must be approved by your building principal and the Superintendent of Schools. Please attach information about the Continuing Education program and a course description for approval purposes.

Please note: Only Instructional Assistants who have been a member of the unit for 3 full consecutive school years are eligible for reimbursement. Deadline - December 2, 2021.
