About Food Services

At APS, we believe school meals can do more than fill a belly, they can fuel curiosity, learning, and lifelong healthy habits. We take pride in serving students meals that are both delicious and nutritious, and reflect the diverse tastes and cultures of our community.

Our commitment goes beyond taste. Every meal is crafted with care by trained child nutrition professionals, featuring balanced, affordable choices that meet state and federal guidelines. We also provide nutrition education that inspires students to make healthy choices that last a lifetime, helping them grow strong, healthy, and ready to learn each day.

Massachusetts schools lunches are currently funded through the Universal School Meals. School meals are free for all APS students. This means that students will be entitled to one (1) free breakfast and one (1) free lunch, daily.

A breakfast and lunch must be a complete reimbursable meal. This means each meal needs to have components such as a grain, protein, and a fruit or vegetable to be considered complete.
