Transition Opportunities Program (TOP)
Program Description
The Transition Opportunity Program (TOP) serves young adults aged 18-22 who need additional support to achieve independence. Through person-centered planning and partnerships with local agencies, TOP helps students build individualized skills in areas like functional academics, independent living, community access, travel training, and vocational development. Students engage in internships, supported employment, and community activities, gaining experience in daily living skills like cooking, budgeting, and household management. The program fosters self-sufficiency, guiding students toward post-secondary goals such as competitive employment, college exploration, and becoming integrated members of the community.
