Transfer Students

If your child has attended another high school and has transferred to Andover High School, an athletic eligibility waiver will need to be submitted to the MIAA. Transfer students are defined as any 9th, 10th, 11th or 12th grade student who has attended a public or private high school other than Andover High School.

Here are the steps required to file an Athletic Eligibility Waiver:

  1. Once your child has been registered as a student at Andover High School, you will receive our emails to register for their sport of choice.

  2. Once the sport registration process has been submitted, contact the Athletics Office to notify them that your child is a transfer student.

    • Waivers are only for new transfer students and do not require reapplication upon approval.

  3. The Athletic Director will schedule a phone call to gather all the information needed for completing the waiver.

  4. The waiver will be submitted by the Athletic Director to the MIAA. Their response, if required, is typically returned within a week or two.
