About the Athletics Department
Athletic Director - Wayne Puglisi
Wayne Puglisi was appointed as the Athletic Director for Andover Public Schools in 2022. Wayne has been working as a physical education teacher with Andover since 1998.
Mr. Puglisi has served in various roles in Youth, High School and International Athletics, specifically for the sport of lacrosse. He served as regional director of the Northeast Region of the Mass Bay Youth Lacrosse League. Wayne has also served as the coordinator of the Town Pride Lacrosse League, a youth lacrosse league for boys in grade 3-8. He was the Merrimack Valley Conference boy’s lacrosse league representative and the President of the Eastern Mass Lacrosse Coaches Association from 2009-2019. In both roles, he was a member of the MIAA seeding committee for boy’s lacrosse. He is currently the Boy’s lacrosse coach representative for the MIAA. Lastly, he is also a board member for the Italian National lacrosse program that coordinates Italian Americans and Italian Nationals to participate in European tournaments and domestic events.
In his time at Andover, Wayne has demonstrated extraordinary leadership, earning the esteem of our coaches, parents, student athletes, athletic staff and colleagues across the school district.
Assistant Athletic Director - Kerry Cashman
Kerry Cashman has been the Assistant Athletic Director for Andover Public Schools since 2017.
Ms. Cashman has served as Athletic Director and Girls varsity basketball coach at Bradford Christian Academy. She coached Women’s Basketball at the University of Massachusetts Lowell, Leslie University and the University of New Hampshire. Kerry played collegiate basketball at Boston University where she was a 4 year starter and 2 year Captain. She was voted Fan’s Choice player of the year as a Senior and America East All-Conference in her junior and Senior year.
Kerry is currently the head coach of Unified Basketball, Unified Track and an Assistant Coach for our Girls basketball teams. She also serves as the Advisor to the Warrior Way program, an educational program that teaches sportsmanship and leadership skills to the elementary and middle school students in the town of Andover.
