School Improvement Council
Overview
School Improvement Councils were first established in Massachusetts as part of the mandated reforms contained in the Education Reform Bill of 1993. The Bancroft School Improvement Council was established in 1994 and is comprised of teachers, parents, and community representatives who assist our school in identifying goals and areas in need of improvement. The primary responsibility of the School Improvement Council is to create an annual School Improvement Plan, which is based on a needs assessment.
