Mr. DeBonis is joining the WMS team to cover for Mrs. D'Amico during her absence. Many of you may already be familiar with Mr. DeBonis as he supports the Andover's middle school show choir and a cappella programs. Additionally, Mr. DeBonis has been integral in our annual musicals.

We are thrilled to have Mr. DeBonis as part of our WMS community!

Now that we are nearly eight weeks into the school year, please remind your student about the following:

• phones should be "off and away" (not in their pockets)
• earbuds should be removed when arriving to school
• smartwatches should be in "school mode"
• warmer clothing (pants, sweatshirts, jackets, etc.) are helpful against the colder morning weather
• students not eating breakfast will be asked to go out to recess (see previous note about warmer clothing)

We appreciate your support and partnership in supporting our school rules!

On Thursday, October 31st, students are encouraged to wear costumes if they choose to do so. Our staff enjoys celebrating this day with team costumes. We would love our students to join in the fun!

Please make sure that your student's costume meets the criteria listed below:

• no masks
• no weapons (or something that could be used as such)
• students must be able to sit down at their desks

We're excited to introduce this year's main fundraiser, the WMS Booster Bash. Our goal this year is to raise $7,500 for an updated STUDENT LOUNGE to benefit ALL students at Andover West Middle.

We’re excited for this fundraising experience because it offers 3 important things to our school community:

1. User-friendly fundraising platform
2. Character enrichment program
3. Big event at the end of the fundraiser 🎉

We are looking for community feedback as we begin the process of creating a redistricting plan. Either the QR code or this link will open a survey for all in the Andover community to take part. The survey will close on Friday, November 1, 2024.

The Color Run is back this year! Students will be partaking in the Color Run as the culminating celebration of the Boosterthon. Our students had a blast taking part last year. To make this year even more successful, we wanted to give substantial notice of the date, which is Friday, November 22nd.
