Dear APS families and staff,

At a news conference on Wednesday March 25, 2020, Governor Charlie Baker announced he is extending his mandatory closure of all Massachusetts public schools to May 4, 2020.

As I mentioned in my message to the APS Community earlier this week, developments regarding the Coronavirus change each day. Today’s announcement from the Governor reinforces the dynamic nature of this situation. In anticipation of this, the district has been working to prepare for the extended closure. I will keep you informed as this develops. We hope our efforts over the coming weeks will help our families and students maintain an academic and social-emotional connection.

We understand this is a difficult time and your health and safety are our highest priorities. We will communicate further information as it becomes available.
