Requirements
On an annual basis all current municipal (and school) employees are required to read the Summary of the Conflict of Interest Law for Municipal (town and school) Employees (

After reading the attached please fill out the
Acknowledgment Receipt within 10 days, and print a copy of the acknowledgment for your records.
With in 30 days of hire, and then once every two years thereafter, all new employees (exceptions: see below) must complete the on-line Conflict of Interest training program. Upon completing the on-line program, all employees should print out 3 copies of the completion certificate, employees should keep one copy for themselves and send 2 copies to Human Resources.

Positions Exempted
from the annual distribution of the ethics summary and from taking the on-line training requirement:
- Substitutes (Teachers, Food Service Workers, Custodians, Nurse, Collin Center)
- Coaches
- Poll-workers
- Temporary-Seasonal Positions in a non-supervisory role
- Students participating in work-study employment
- Unpaid volunteers who do not have or exercise governmental authority and do not participate in government decision-making

If you do not have access to a computer please come to Human Resources and use the kiosks outside of our office.
When multiple users attempt to complete the current training program using the same computer they may experience a problem accessing the beginning of the program. The user will need to open their internet browser, click on "Tools", then "Internet Options", select "Delete Cookies", then click "OK". The user will be able to click back on the Online Training module on the Commission's website and start at the beginning.
