The 205 T8 fixtures have been replaced with smart LED lighting in the Hallways at Andover High School. The new hallway lights improve lighting with higher quality fixtures, rely on natural light when available, provide more consistent lighting levels, reduce waste and showcase new technology. This means that on a sunnier day, the lights will dim while keeping the lighting the same in the hallways and during class, when less students are in them, they also dim. It will save $11,745 in energy cost per year and have lower maintenance costs. It also will cut electricity and be an improvement for Andover High School in terms of environmental sustainability.
