Dear APS Community,

I am pleased to share that APS is developing a draft plan for students in grades K and 1 in the hybrid model to return to school in-person, four days/week (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday). Our target date for this change is March 8. K and 1 hybrid students will continue with their usual Wednesday schedule (synchronous in the morning and asynchronous in the afternoon.) This four day/week in-person schedule will allow school nurses to help run town vaccination clinics in our schools on Wednesdays, in support of our community and public health needs. APS is committed to continuously evaluating this plan as we move closer to the goal of in-person learning for our students.

The draft plan is subject to School Committee review and approval at their next meeting on Thursday, February 25 at 7:00 p.m. Families are invited to view the meeting online at AndoverTV.org, Comcast Channel 99 or Verizon Channel 43. Public input during the meeting can be provided by sending an email to scremote@andoverma.us. I look forward to providing additional updates after February break.
